Steel length dimensions:
1. Range size of steel
Defining the range and size of steel is an effective measure to save material. Range sizing is length or length times width is not less than a certain size, or length, length times width from how many to how many size range delivery. The production unit may produce and supply goods according to the requirements of this size.
2. To measure (usually length)
Where the product size (length or width) , in the standard range, but does not require fixed size called indefinite size. Indefinite length is also called ordinary length (ruler) . For Metal Materials delivered at variable length, delivery within the specified length is sufficient. For example, a round steel not larger than 25mm, whose normal length is 4 ~ 10m, can be delivered if its length is within this range.
3. Sizing
According to the order requirements cut into fixed size is called fixed size. The delivered metal material must have the length specified by the buyer in the order contract. For example, if it is stated in the contract that the material to be delivered is 5m in length, the material to be delivered must be 5m in length, and any material shorter or longer than 5M is not qualified. But in fact delivery can not be 5m long, so the provisions allow a positive deviation, but not allow a negative deviation.
4.2 feet
According to the order requirements of the fixed size cut into integral multiple is called times ruler. The length of the delivered metal material must be an integral multiple of the length specified by the buyer in the order contract (called the length of the single ruler)(plus saws) . For example, if the buyer requires a single foot length of 2M in the order contract, then the length will be 4m when cut into double feet and 6m when cut into three feet, with one or two saws, respectively. The size of the sawing edge is specified in the standard. Only positive deviation is allowed and no negative deviation is allowed.
5. Short feet
Length less than the standard length of the lower limit, but not less than the shortest length allowed is called the short ruler. For example, the standard for water and gas transmission steel pipe allows each lot to have 10% (according to the number of roots) of 2-4m long short ruler steel pipe. 4M is the lower limit of indefinite length, and the shortest length allowed is 2M.
Narrow scale
The width is less than the lower limit of the standard width, but not less than the narrowest width allowed is called narrow ruler. When delivering goods according to the narrow scale, we must pay attention to the narrow scale and the narrowest scale stipulated in the relevant standards.
